Welcome to Equipping the Family!
The ministry that was begun in 2002, known as "Belayer Ministries" has a new name! We are making this change in order to reflect the heart of our ministry in a way that would be easily recognizable to anyone we come into contact with. Please be patient with us as we convert our existing articles and resources from www.belayer.org to fit into the new framework that God has given us.
Our ministry has always been about practically equipping the family to embrace the truth of God's word in a time when our culture is making that increasingly difficult to do. We see in God's word three primary areas where equipping takes place - Your Home, Your Church and Your World. Each has its own biblical principles and jurisdictal boundaries with which you and your family live your lives. Understanding the family's roles in each of these jurisictions is critical to building a strong and healthy family that is able to stand on God's word.
This has to begin with godly men understanding their God given role in the family. Men, did you know that God's Word clearly lays the responsibility of family leadership at your feet? Not your pastor's or your wife's feet but yours! As a husband and father, you are called to go first. In your example, your speech, your very life. Listen to what your God says to you in His Word...
“For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just…” Genesis 18:19
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers…” Malachi 4:6
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...” Ephesians 5:25
Our ministry is dedicated to coming alongside and equip the family who takes God at his word and desires to take steps of faith as they live in a rapidly changing world. We believe that families who are fully equipped will be able to have a tremendous impact on their churches and more effectively bring God's love to a lost and hurting world.
